The KITS5PC100-II Evaluation Board is developed based on Samsung ARM Cortex-A8 S5PC100 Mobile Application Processor, operating up to 833MHz, which is designed to provide a cost-effective, low-power capabilities, high performance Application Processor solution for wireless commnication, personal navigation, camera, portable gaming, portable music/video player, mobile TV and PDA. High-quality video playback is fast becoming a must-have feature for smartphone, portable media players, GPS navigation units, and TV-enabledmobile devices. The S5PC100 processor features a built-in, 720p multi format codec (MFC) video Engine which ensures smooth 30fpsvideo encoding and playback at low power consumption, and supports three types of TV out interface (NTSC/PAL/HDMI). Products incorporating the S5PC100 will benefit from the rich video and multimedia functions which consumes very low power, enabling longer video playback time with a standard size battery.
Boardcon KITS5PC100-II Evaluation Board takes full features of the processor by providing a complete set of common system peripherals, minimizing overall system costs and eliminating the need to configure additional componentsand. It supports 256MByte DDR SDRAM and 256MByte NAND Flash as well as high-speed USB2.0 OTG function. The board has exposed many other hardware interfaces including RS232 serial port, LCD/TSP, TVOUT, VGA, Ethernet, SD/MMC, GPIO, camera, SPI, I2C and HDMI. The board has two methods to boot the system from either SD card or NAND flash. WinCE6.0 and Android2.2 are coming with the board.
The kit includes the CPU Board and Carrier Board, LCD, Windows Embedded CE 6.0 or Android2.2 BSP, complete electronic documentation, schematics, demo applications, and third party Cross compilersand embedded development environments (DNW, MoviNAND_Fusing_Tool.exe, activesync, sdboot, TCPMP, USB Interface Driver and so on) for reducing your development time and quick tomarket.
